Izmir Bird Sanctuary is a natural area located in Çamaltı Tuzlasi in Çiğli district of Izmir. 205 bird species live in the 8.000 hectare area. Izmir Bird Sanctuary, where many different birds such as crested pelican, pink-winged flamingo, moorhen, gray and black storks live, is one of the most important wetlands in Turkey. The region, which is visited by around 50,000 birds every year, is located on the migration routes of birds.

You can find bird watching towers, binoculars, hiking trails and bicycle paths in Izmir Bird Sanctuary, which is one of the most visited places in Izmir by both nature lovers and photographers. Located 56 kilometers from Izmir, you can visit the bird sanctuary in all seasons and see hundreds of different bird species up close, especially during migration periods.
